Privacy policy

How AskEverywhere collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This policy describes the information AskEverywhere handles, the reasons we handle it, and the controls available to you. For questions, contact [email protected].

1. Who we are

AskEverywhere provides keyword research and planning through its website, account area, and browser extension. This policy calls those offerings together the “Service.”

2. Information we collect

Account information

  • The email address and sign-in information associated with your account.
  • Settings and preferences you select, including notification choices.
  • For an extension token, a protected hash and brief identifier instead of the usable token itself.

Payment information

Stripe processes payments for us. We do not keep your full card number. We retain the provider reference and transaction information needed to issue receipts, maintain account records, and handle refunds.

Usage and technical information

  • Credit purchases, charges, refunds, and balance changes.
  • Login times and an approximate location signal used to protect the account.
  • Temporary operational logs, which may include IP address, browser details, requested path, and response status.
  • Technical error details supplied when a browser feature does not work correctly.

Optional advertising connection

If you choose to connect Google Ads, we use the authorization and account details needed to display the campaigns you select and place keywords in the ad groups you select. We do not retain performance, conversion, or billing data from that account.

3. How we use information

  • To authenticate you and deliver research, credit tracking, receipts, and refunds.
  • To detect misuse, payment fraud, excessive requests, and attempts to take over accounts.
  • To improve the Service using combined, non-identifying usage information.
  • To deliver essential messages, including purchase receipts, balance notices, and refund confirmations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your AskEverywhere activity to target advertising to you elsewhere.

4. Service providers

Selected vendors receive only the information needed to provide services such as authentication, payments, email, hosting, storage, backups, and, when enabled by you, Google Ads API access. They are expected to use that information for our instructions and protect it appropriately.

5. Your choices and rights

Local law may give you the right to see, correct, export, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, or to object to a particular use. Send requests to [email protected]; our target is a response within 30 days. We may keep specific records when tax, accounting, or other legal rules require it.

For individuals in the EU or EEA, the relevant GDPR rights and legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and consent where applicable. We do not sell personal information under California privacy law.

6. Security

Connections to the Service are encrypted in transit. We protect secrets and tokens with managed credentials and encryption safeguards, while production access is restricted and monitored. Because no security measure is absolute, we will notify affected people of a qualifying incident as the law requires.

7. Cookies

Essential cookies support login and account security. We do not place third-party advertising cookies. If we use privacy-conscious analytics, they are configured without persistent advertising identifiers.

8. Children

The Service is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly gather information from children. If you think a child has opened an account, please let us know.

9. International transfers

Vendors supporting the Service may handle information in the United States, Europe, or another country in which they maintain operations. Where transfer rules require it, we use recognized contractual or legal safeguards.

10. Policy changes

We may revise this policy as the Service or our information practices evolve. The “updated” date marks the current version. If a change is material, we will provide any additional notice required by law.

11. Contact

Privacy questions and personal-data requests can be sent to [email protected].

In short: We use the information required to provide AskEverywhere, disclose it to operational partners when necessary, do not sell it, and give you ways to review or manage it.
